A conservatory is such a boon and useful addition to any house. It will serve many functions and can be dressed to kill on both formal and informal occasions. Looking at turning garden room extension into a dining room make the most of the airy space and take this even further by choosing mirrored items to furnish it.
A large table that has an antiqued mirrored edge and a glass top would be a stunning piece to make a statement in such a room. The table ware will be reflected in the mirrored ends and the tops and will give a glistening effect. Coloured glasses at place setting such as pale yellow or pretty ruby can be exotic and unusual. The cutlery will also gleam in this setting. In candlelight this will look beautiful and in the sunlight this will be heaven
Distressed French style dining chairs will go with this look. Keep the tone pale look for chairs with cream suede seats or pale grey soft leather.
Put a Venetian glass mirror on the wall to echo the theme. The lighting is also an area where you can expand the many faceted nature of this look. A beaten sliver sconce with a pretty candle bulb will light your room with a Hollywood glamour.
It is a good idea to have all the crockery and cutlery in the room so you don’t have to keep running about to fetch it when you need it. Therefore I suggest opting for a large handmade cupboard in the room to house these things. The top could be made with glass doors that have a fabric behind it. This will allow you to introduce colour and texture into the room fairly easily. The glass top will not overwhelm the conservatory and by using silver handles the light look will be repeated.
This is elegant and romantic a perfect way to enjoy eating in a conservatory.
