Transforming a tired area in your home can be done by Indigo Design’s interior designers in Cambridgeshire without too much disruption and by using a bit of imagination and colour sense.
We were asked to re decorate a bathroom, without changing any of the sanitary ware.
We decided to transform this dated room from a gloomy dark space and turn it into a glamorous bright peaceful heaven.
We removed a large cupboard and replaced it with a new low white unit with enough storage space for towels and bathroom cosmetics. On the top there is room for a display of beautiful shells.
As we had to keep the tiles in the shower which were glittering mint green the new colour scheme had to be sympathetic to them
We chose a lovely pale lilac for the tongue and groove boarding that ran along the bottom of the room.
The free standing bath was painted a gentle pastel pink to blend in with the lilac. The picture rail we used the lilac mixed with white paint to produce a very subtle version of the colour below. A new white framed mirror was put in place with new etched glass in the window against which we bought a white blind .
The room is transformed. It now looks fabulous, a peaceful haven for anyone who loves beautiful spaces. A couple of splashes of Jo Malone bath oil and you will never want to get out of the bathroom.
